Maduro claims it’s about natural resources

After Trump today declared a blockade of sanctioned oil tankers leaving or arriving in Venezuela, Venezuelan President Maduro states that the real motive of the United States is control over the country’s natural resources through gigantic campaigns, lies, and manipulation.
According to Time magazine, Trump’s advisers have prepared for various scenarios should Maduro step down or be removed. This is said to include support for the opposition by setting up a transitional government that, among other things, would secure Venezuela’s oil fields and infrastructure.
This year’s Nobel Peace Prize laureate and opposition leader in Venezuela, María Corina Machado, published a plan (blueprint) for Venezuela in November in the event of Maduro’s departure. It outlines major changes, including the privatization of the state-controlled oil sector.

Machado is now reported to have left Norway after receiving the Peace Price. It is unclear where she has traveled, but it is expected that she will in the near future go to the United States to meet Donald Trump. There is reason to believe that we are entering decisive days for Venezuela’s fate. It will also be important for the world power.
